Outdoor Survival – In The Modern Era

Survive Outdoor- In The Modern Era

We are currently working on our latest “Outdoor Survival – In The Modern Era!” book which we expect to be available by Mid-Spring 2016.

I started this book because during a lot of research for field articles for SurviveOutdoor.com I uncovered a plethora of mismatched information, the vast amount about primitive survival but very little about using modern technological devices or processes with outdoor survival. The 21st century has brought with it many advances in modern era tools, apparel, footwear, and electronic devices. This book was written to show you how these advances can be used to your advantage in any outdoor recreational activity, including survival.

We will focus on equipment that has proven reliability in many different situations and environments, each item that we review both in this book and on our site has been thoroughly field-tested by our staff in varying environments, weather, and other conditions. If we feel it does not meet our minimum standards, then it does not get listed!

We’ve been hard at work getting the new book put together, I think everyone will love all the topics that we touch on. Course this is not your ordinary outdoor survival book, it is designed to embrace current technology and show you how to incorporate that into your every day outdoor adventures. We do provided many tips and products reviews as well, when we are talking about a particular subject or device and we have first hand experience with using it in the field we will share that with you. There are hundreds of books that teach primitive survival, so if you are looking for a book that will teach you how to rub two sticks together to make a fire, this book is not going to be it!
